The kids first art class, and a picture of Moon & Mars

Today I started art with the kidos I thought they did great! This is Gabrielle's
obviously we did landscapes, but Collin had to add wildlife to his masterpiece
This one is Josiah's slightly scaled down,   all in all they had a blast and so did I. I love art.
oh... this is a picture of the Moon and Mars last night, this does not look like two moons to me lol

I did it, I made pillowcase dresses and shirts

this was my 1st try. I gave it a shot before I bought any :) new pillowcases
aside from needing some serious ironing, they turned out cute.
Gabrielle loved them. she wore this one to church last Wednesday night. oh.. this picture is showing the matching bow on the baby, Gab is too cool with a simple small brown ribon in hers
and the brown set. I love that Gabrielle likes matching Alysabelle still
the bow again, Gabrielle again has a simple tied ribon
cutie pie :)

building a pasture for Elsie!

As you all know we have a calf, Elsie.  Sweet Elsie has been living in the chicken yard... until now
Elsie and the chickens are very happy :)
The kids love helping and Stoney is very patient to teach the kids things, I think he knows it will benifit him later if they can build a fence, change a tire, change oil, ore anything else he shows them.
Connor winking, or maybe it's the sun lol
Stoney glaring :) maybe I should put the camera down for a minute and help ;)
close up of my man's working hands
Alysabelle even helped.... play in the dirt
hard workers, what's great is they don't know it's work.
Freeing Elsie,  She celebrated by bucking and running like a crazy cow. She thinks she is a dog. When we leave she runs along the fence with the van or trucks

A box from Grandma, Great Grandma!!!!

Joann Ridge is her real name, but we know her as Grandma and Great Grandma
I saw these absolutly adorable dresses (pillow case dresses) around and shot my Grandma an e-mail to show her how cute...
not even a week later we got a box... you guessed it, with some pillowcase dresses
The box had all kinds of goodies, vanilla biscotti coffee, oreos, movies, oh... and pot holders, the favorite pot holder at my house is one that has a pocket on it, I fear it will never get used on hot things, because the kids have stolen it.
my Grandma has always been the neatest, even as a kid she is the one I atribule my crafty side to, when we would go to visit she always had a load of goodies (buttons, material, pretty papers, glue, scisors, and tons of other things) for us to cut, glue, and sew. Come to think of it she is the 1st person to show me how to sew with a needle and thread.  She was and still is with my kids so neat, and she never cared about the messes we made.
She is truely an amazing lady, full of love and always giving to everyone.
love ya Grandma, and thanks for being you!
I think i'll give this pillow case dress making a go too...

The Theut's visit us in the woods, literally

We were blessed with a visit from my wonderful sister Jessica, and her beautiful family.  We decided to take a trip out in the heat to the rock village. ( above is a pic. of all but one grandkid on my side, what's crazy is all of these kids and only 2 mamas :)  )

hiking in...
Josiah helping Mary Claire, so sweet
for some reason, (known to no one but God) right in the center of the Benny 500 acre woods there is a massive collection of huge rock formations.
My beautiful sister and her husband.
there are about 50 to 100 huge rocks in the "rock village"
my sister and I
Collin
and this rock is right in the center, apropriatly named "the court house"
Gregory getting a little asistance from Uncle Stoney
making memories, and sore muscles
The kids had loads of fun.  And can't wait to see the Theut's again,
Hopefuly with a lot less bugs.  I think next time we should
take a swim in one of the Benny ponds lol , it was soooo Hot!
But we would do it all again tommorow given the chance !

Grandpa's here!

My Dad, better known as grandpa at my home is working in our area
so we get the pleasure of dinner and a show each night :)
This was Grandpa's 1st time to see our baby, Adelle. He aproved, so I guess we'll keep her ;)
Collin thinks Grandpa's the coolest thing in the world
Well they all do, I agree he is pretty cool, this obviously comming from a Daddy's girl!

It's official, we live on a farm!

Meet Elsie... It's official we live on a farm... The chickens and rabbits weren't enugh. But a cow makes it official!
Elsie is our new baby jersey,  one day she will give us milk. We are paying a small fortune for raw milk form a local farm, so we decided to get a cow,  we are planing for the future.  Elsie is sweet and so small.  It's neat to think in 2 years she will be a Mama and providing milk for us all. Until then we will spend a small fortune making her big and strong via feed lol
but for now, she's a baby, whom we love to play with!
